Welcome to the District

September 19, 2017

Please join us in welcoming Ariele Lee back to Lakeland as 5th-12th band instructor.

My name is Ariele Lee and I am so excited to be back to teach at my alma mater in my favorite subject, Band! I got my Bachelor's of Music Education from Pittsburg State University and am currently working on my Master's of Education-Gifted Education at Drury University. I previously taught for one year. I am married and have lots of pets at my home in Springfield. I love music with all of my heart, and I am excited to share that passion with all of my students.

Please join us in welcoming Seth Overton to Lakeland! He will be teaching 9-12 English courses such as English 2, English 3 and Creative Writing.

My name is Seth Overton, 24 years old out of Brookfield, Missouri. I was born and raised in Brookfield, where I graduated high school in 2011 and was accepted into North Central Missouri College in Trenton, Missouri. At NCMC, I studied education and found my calling in the field of English. I graduated from NCMC in the year 2014 with an Associate Arts degree and continued my education at the University of Central Missouri in Warrensburg, Missouri. From there, I studied the field of secondary education and English language and writing. In the spring of 2017, I underwent student teaching at the Blue Springs Freshman Center, where I gained incredible first-hand experience. I graduated from UCM with my Bachelors of Science in Education for Secondary English spring of 2017, making this my first official year as a high school teacher. My family is made of my father, Mick Overton, mother, Susie Overton, and sister, Sammi Overton. In addition to being a teacher, my interests lie in reading and writing. I enjoy writing and hope to write and publish a book in the future.

Please join us in welcoming Jameson Rohaus back to Lakeland as faculty!

Howdy, I am Jameson Rohaus. This year teaching fifth and sixth grade reading at Lakeland will be my first year. I live just outside of Deepwater and graduated from this very school district. My education degree came from the University of Central Missouri. I am excited to begin my teaching career at Lakeland Elementary.

Please join us in congratulating Amber Eager on her new role in the district as Family and Consumer Sciences (FACS) teacher.

My name is Amber Eager. I was born and raised in the Deepwater, Missouri area. I graduated from Lakeland R-3 in 2010. I graduated from Central Methodist University in 2016 with a Bachelors in Education. This will be my first year teaching. I like spending time with family and friends, and my two dogs Buttons and Roxi. In my spare time I like to sit and read a good book. I am excited to start teaching this year!

Please join us in welcoming Candace Rucker back to Lakeland as a faculty member. Candace is teaching high school science.

I am a Lakeland alumni and earned my degree from University of Central Missouri. I have a husband who is self-employed and four amazing kids, 3 of which attend Lakeland Elementary. I have always enjoyed living in a small town and am glad my children will have the same experiences I did growing up. I love the sense of community in this area and how neighbors are always looking out for one another. I'm excited to be starting my career at Lakeland and for the upcoming school year. There's so much to look forward to.

Please join us in welcoming Caiti Bradley to Lakeland!

Hi! My name is Caiti Bradley, and I am so excited to be starting my 6th year teaching as a part of the Lakeland family. I am teaching 9th grade English, 12th grade English, and two English elective courses.

I was born and raised in Clinton, and I attended college at University of Central Missouri (Warrensburg) for my bachelor's degree and William Wood's University (Sedalia) for my master's degree. After graduating with my bachelor's in 2012, I got my first teaching job at Green Ridge as a junior high and high school English teacher. During my first year teaching, I got engaged to my "high school sweetheart", Ryan. We got married in June of 2014, and in June of 2015, we had our daughter, Quinn. While at Green Ridge, I coached high school cheerleading and Ryan coached high school basketball. I left Green Ridge at the end of the 2015-2016 school year, and I taught high school English at Harrisonville for one year before making the move to Lakeland.

The things I enjoy most in life are raising my daughter, spending time with family, being outside, teaching, making hair bows, and cooking. To me, the most important thing I can do as an educator is build positive relationships that encourage students to always be the best versions of themselves, to be productive members of society, and to never think they are done being educated.
