Enrollment

New students in grades K-6 should be enrolled through the elementary office when they arrive in the district. Please bring the following information when you enroll your child:

  • Student’s State Birth Certificate

  • Student’s Social Security Card

  • Student’s Immunization Record

  • Address and Telephone Number of Previous School

  • Proof of Residency

  • New Address and Phone Number

To attend Lakeland, a student must be a resident of the district. To be considered a resident, the pupil must both physically reside within the school district and be “domiciled” within the school district. Missouri law states that the domicile of a minor child (under 18 years of age) shall be the domicile of the parent, or a court-appointed legal guardian. This means that a child must be living with a parent or a legal guardian that lives within Lakeland R-III school district to attend school at Lakeland.

Students will begin attending class the day following enrollment if all paperwork is in order. Students, who will be in Kindergarten, should pre-enroll during the announced date and time for Kindergarten Round Up. No student will be allowed to attend school without proof of current immunizations, birth certificate and social security card.
