Hello, my name is Curt Thomas. I am the new director of the Lakeland Band Program! I have a Bachelor's Degree in Music Education from Pittsburg State University and am planning on getting my Masters in Music Education from Central Missouri University. This year will be my 14th year teaching instrumental music!
My wife, Laura, and I have been married for 15 years! She is an elementary educator. We have been blessed with three wonderful children, Evan (10), Emma (7), and Elena (5). I enjoy spending time with my family, playing board games, and spending time outdoors.
Teaching life skills to students through music is my passion! I believe that every student is capable of mastering an instrument!
I am excited to meet everyone, build a solid foundation for the band, and grow the band program. Go Vikings!
