Tina Williams

Please join us in welcoming Tina Williams to her new position within the district as a High School English teacher!

Hello Lakeland, it’s good to be home! My name is Tina Williams and I’ll be leading learning for English 2 & 3 this year! I am a Lakeland alumni and loved growing up here. I want to make sure students today have the opportunity to appreciate and enjoy their time in these halls while learning things they can practically use in life. I hold a BA in history from Washburn University and an MA in Museum Studies from Johns Hopkins University. I just finished my first semester working on my EdD in Education and Leadership through Rockhurst University and plan to be Dr. Tina in a few years! I have an amazing daughter named Victoria who will be joining the preschool this year, and a wonderful husband, Josh, who continues to love and support my many shenanigans. In my free time I enjoy crafting, researching local history, and leading downtown haunted history tours. One of my favorite quotes, courtesy Marilyn Monroe, states “Imperfection is beauty, madness is genius and it’s better to be absolutely ridiculous than absolutely boring." I think this year will be anything but boring and I can’t wait for us to get started!
