The Lakeland R-III School District is asking voters to consider a bond levy of $2 million on the April 2, 2024 ballot. The bond issue will have zero impact on the current tax levy. Proposition KIDS will allow the district to address needs in several areas, including:

  • Safety and security upgrades, including updating cameras and installing sensors.

  • Baseball and softball field renovations, including lighting systems and scoreboards.

  • HVAC replacement in Elementary classrooms.

  • Repairs and improvements to existing facilities

  • Upgrades to student transportation.

If approved, Lakeland R-III's debt service levy would remain unchanged at $.9367 per $100 AV.
