Hello! My name is Julianna Conway. I am the new 5th and 6th grade math teacher. I grew up in Arkansas before moving to Missouri to attend Southwest Baptist University to pursue a degree in education.
During my college years, I met my husband, Ty Conway. He is the high school math teacher here at Lakeland. We have been married for a little over 4 years. I spent the last two years teaching in the Roscoe school district.
My favorite quote about math says “Math is not a spectator sport. The only way to learn math is to do math.” I hope to provide a classroom environment where students feel comfortable trying, even if they make mistakes. I am glad to be working at Lakeland this year and hope to spread my joy for math to the students.
