📖 September Family Reading Night 📖

We’re back on the court on October 6th!
After months of storm damage repairs to the roof and floor, our gym will be officially ready — and it looks amazing!
We’ll be back in action on October 6th with our first game on the brand-new floor that evening. We’re so excited to not only return to the gym for PE classes but to also to finish our volleyball season strong and start gearing up for an incredible basketball season this winter.
Check out the fresh new look of our gym floor in the pictures below — we can’t wait to see you all filling the stands again!

🎀 Lakeland's Pink Out volleyball game is scheduled for Thursday, October 16th at 5:30 pm vs. Osceola

🚨Plan Ahead🚨 Please mark your calendars for school to be IN SESSION on Monday, October 13th and Monday, December 15th. This will allow us to finish the school year before Memorial Day weekend. Thank you!

Picture Day is one week from today! See photos for the order code for your building.

A huge thank you to Sheriff Hilty and Sergeant Schiereck from the St. Clair County Sheriff's Office for conducting our staff's intruder training today. While no one ever wants to imagine a bad situation, this training gives us peace of mind knowing that our school is better prepared to react and protect our students in case of an emergency. We appreciate our partnership with the Sheriff's Office as well as the time, effort, and dedication they and the Lakeland staff have invested in keeping our schools safe.

Welcome back to another year at Lakeland! Tomorrow, Tuesday, August 19th, is the start of the 2025-2026 school year from 8:05 am to 3:30 pm.
Staff have been working hard to ensure our school is ready for a safe and successful year. I know they are committed to providing the best possible learning environment for every student and are excited for the year to kick off strong. Each and every day my excitement builds as I look forward to the first day of school and getting to know our students and families!
If you did not see our announcement on Facebook, we did move to the new student information system this year. Principals will be sending out new welcome emails this week as there was a glitch with the first round. This link will be your initial login to the system so you can choose your own password. Students at the HS level will also be able to login to their accounts and will be taught how at school. We have spent a great deal of time learning this new system and ask for your patience as we work through any hiccups in the first weeks of school.
Additionally, we have made progress in the area of storm cleanup and repair. The gym roof and floor are in progress and we are looking forward to being back in our own gym as soon as possible! We also had the new playground fence installed and it looks great!
There is something magical about the shiny floors that welcome a brand new school year. This is more than just another school year; it's a chance to start fresh, embrace new challenges, and create lasting memories. Our students will discover new passions, our teachers will inspire with innovative lessons, and our families will continue to be our strongest partners. I hope you feel some of that magic as well as your students begin the next chapter of their education at Lakeland R-III: Where Teamwork Achieves the Extraordinary!
